Dyno Nobel

Dyno Nobel is a major manufacturer of explosives. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Incitec Pivot Limited, and its customers include users in the mining, quarry, construction, pipeline and geophysical exploration industries. Dyno Nobel have offices in West Valley City, Utah and Sydney, Australia.

The predecessor companies of Dyno Nobel go back to the invention by William Bickford of the safety fuse in 1831 and Alfred Nobel's detonator of 1865 and dynamite of 1866.[1]

Bickford-Smith & Company started operations in the United States in 1836, and it became The Ensign-Bickford Company. Dyno Nobel ASA merged with this company in 2003 and formed the Dyno Nobel company.
